BLA is planned and put on each year by a group of dedicated Girl Scout volunteers. Due to safety ratios, enough adults must volunteer each year for camp to run. Unfortunately, if not enough volunteers sign up, camp will be cancelled. We need your help to ensure that camp can happen this year and that every Scout has an amazing camp experience!
Benefits of Volunteering
Guaranteed placement for your camper(s) – skip the wait and get early registration access starting on December 18th to January 31st!
Reduced registration (40% off!) rate for your campers at camp including preschool-aged children (aged 3-5 years, fully potty trained, boys included) of volunteers. Yes, they get to come to camp too!
Receive volunteer hours for training and camp days
Network with other Girl Scout volunteers in your area
Learn new skills, try new things, and take part in fun camp traditions
If you are a volunteer with a son grades K-6 they can be placed in the Ranger (boy) Unit, which is exclusively for unit leader children.
Unit leaders generally spend the day with a unit of campers, usually 12-16 kids. Our goal is to have 2 adults plus 2 Aides and 2 AITs with a unit of campers so you are never alone; and we will always try to pair new leaders with more experienced leaders to make things easier for everyone. More unit leaders means we can accept more campers.
